The TSA has announced that they will be implementing changes to the current cargo security program which will add to the responsibilities of the "Freight Forwarder" also known as an "IAC" (Indirect Air Carrier) in regards to cargo security for your air export shipments. The changes will mostly affect those shippers who require that their shipments are loaded on passenger carrying aircrafts. With these changes, we will be required to obtain additional information from the shipper.
Although we can not divulge the content's of the TSA's cargo security program, due to the sensitive nature of the information, Vantec World Transport encourages you to visit the TSA's website for more general information. This will give you some idea of what your freight forwarder is doing, and it also has information specifically for shippers with a link that explains recent air cargo changes that will affect all shippers.
